Nazar has also achieved multiple “million dollar toys” (individual SKUs that have sold $1M+ on retail shelves, including his record-breaking $3M+ “Sid the Squid”!!).
He has a track record of Developing High Performing Teams. Nazar has consistently operated at the next level. His high level of expertise is counted on to move the entire team forward and to create learning opportunities for those around him.
In his new position, Nazar will focus heavily on partnerships and as a Principal Designer he will be BARK’s master craftsmen.”
BARK
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
At BARK, I helped lead the design and development of hundreds of dog toys and product collections, shaping ideas from early concept through final production and retail launch.
My role went well beyond individual product design. I helped establish and evolve the creative process for the toy team, developing concepts, defining product direction, mentoring designers, and working cross-functionally with merchandising, sourcing, engineering, marketing and overseas manufacturing partners.
A major part of the work was balancing brand storytelling, humor, character, play value and commercial viability. Every product needed to feel unmistakably BARK while also meeting real-world requirements around safety, durability, cost, manufacturability and retail presentation.
I also worked across major retail launches and brand collaborations, including programs with Target, Dunkin’, Subaru, Panera and REI, translating each partner’s brand into products that still felt authentic to the BARK universe.
Over nearly a decade, the products and collections I helped create contributed to more than $100M in revenue, while helping build a distinctive product language that separated BARK from traditional pet-toy competitors.
